In the years 2017-2018, we have built a wind farm near the village of Melč with an installed capacity of 4.4 MW. Two turbines were commissioned in December of 2018.
The site is situated in the Moravian-Silesian region at an altitude exceeding 450 meters and has favourable wind conditions. The wind speed reaches an average of 5-7 m/s. The bases of the turbines are 450m apart and are located 15 kilometres southwest of Opava.
The construction began in 2017. As part of the project, it was necessary to build an access road and over 1.5 km of cable trenches. Two VESTAS V 100 wind turbines with a unit installed capacity of 2.2 MW are used in the project. The total height of the turbine is 145 meters and a rotor diameter is 50 meters. Individual components of the turbines were manufactured in Czech Republic. The project is located with maximum respect for the environment, wind conditions in the area are excellent.
