The construction of Jindřichovice, one of the largest wind farms in the Czech Republic with an installed capacity of 15.82 MW, began in 2018. All 7 turbines were commissioned in June 2019.
The site is situated at an altitude exceeding 500 meters and has favourable wind conditions. The wind speed at a height of 110 meters reaches an average of 6-7 m/s. It is located in the Krušné Hory area, 20 kilometres from Carlsbad.
Construction began in the autumn of 2018. As part of the project, it was necessary to build more than 5 km of access roads and over 10 km of cable trenches. Seven VESTAS V 110 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 2.26 MW are used in the project. Total height of the turbines is 180 meters and the rotor has a diameter of 110 meters. Individual components of the turbines were manufactured in Czech Republic. The bases of the turbines are 700 meters apart and reach a depth of 7 meters. The project is located with maximum respect for the environment, wind conditions in the area are excellent.
